” Not having eyes now, but can see

After loosing its figure it still continues to exist and sense everything

「あまねく」は、Dual KOTOxKOTOの委嘱により、2012年の春から夏にかけて作曲されたものです。「ひとのかたちなんて常に変わってゆくもの」…というのは荘子の有名な言葉ですが、「ひと」でも「いのち」でも「おと」でも、すべては同じなのかもしれない。そんなことを考えながら作りました。連続して演奏される２つのパートで構成されていて、それぞれ、「内へ。深く。あまねく。」、「外へ。高く。あまねく。」という副題を持ちます。作曲ノートの一部を以下に記します。

“もう目はないけれど、観ている。もう耳はないけれど、聴いている。いのちなるものは形をなくしてからも、ずっと存在し続けている。まず、内側へ、地への旅、そして、外側へ、空への旅がそれに続く。あまねく。これからはもう、いつでも、どこででも、会える”。

作曲ノートより。

“気がつくと、あなたは球形の鏡の内側に浮かんでいた。
あなたが歌うと、鏡が、反射が答える。
そしてあなたは、あなた自身がその鏡でもあることに気がつくのだ。”

“Inner Mirror”は、村田厚生さんが吹くトロンボーンと塩ビ管による”疑似ディジリデュ”を多重録音した音源に、ライブで演奏可能なソロパートを重ねる形で構成されている。コンサートバージョンでは、音響の再現性を確かなものにするため、シンプルな音源再生＋リアルタイムパフォーマンスにて上演することとした。

「わたし」と「わたしでないもの」の境界を探る旅。
